Just a note to report that the movie is much better and less hokie than I thought it would be. It is partly tongue in cheek, and has Nancy as a Martha Stewart like teen who wears retro inspired clothing that you will remember and recognize. Also, two obnoxious characters (Lettie Briggs and Ina Mason) from The Dana Girls have been renamed and imported into this movie to good effect. I recognized them, being the natural sleuth that I am, even though they had different names. Also, she has a Sleuth bag, kind of like James Bonds' suitcase in From Russia With Love,from which she extracts various tools as needed.
One of the bad guys has one blue eye and one brown eye. Ned Nickerson is very cute and Julia Roberts' neice Emma Roberts does a good job as miss perfect, Nancy Drew.
See it. Two Thumbs Up.
